Instructions for Written Work

Reports and serials

  • Serial publications are usually publications produced by public organizations such as ministries, research institutes or universities.
  • The title of the serials is mentioned in the title page of the work.
  • The title of the serials may include one of the following words: research, report.
  • Serial publication can also be an article in an edited volume.

 

Printed or open access serie publications or reseach papers

In the bibliography

Author’s surname, Initial(s) of first name(s) or name of group. (Year of publication). Title: Subtitle (edition) (Serie name number). Publisher. DOI/URN/URL

  • The DOI identifier  is given in the form https://doi.org/xxxxx . The URN is given in the http://urn.fi/xxxxx . If you cannot find the DOI, you can try to retrieve it using the Crossref service. If the source has no permanent address, the URL address (or the normal web address) is used. 
  • APA 7 instructs to abbreviate long web addresses. This practice has not been adopted by SeAMK.
