How to use artificial intelligence in information searching

This guide covers the use of AI to support information searching in higher education. It also presents topics related to the responsible use of AI. It will be updated as necessary.

General

Evaluation of information is an essential part of the information searchig process. Evaluation of information is also part of professional competence, and is something that is learned over time. Reading and writing are part of the thinking process. Aftificial intelligence does not replace your own thinking and reasoning, and you don't learn by copying artificial intelligence´s responses.

The results of AI must be critically evaluated - you must check the facts and sources yourself, because AI can hallucinate facts and sources that do not exist.

The skills mentioned above are crucial for the use of AI applications.
