ChatGPT is a tool developed by OpenAI, with a free 3.5 version and a fee-based version (4). The application can be found at https://chat.openai.com/chat.
ChatGPT 3.5 is not a search engine, it cannot search the web or databases, it generates text. It works on the basis of the probability of consecutive occurrences of words in its own database, i.e. it predicts the order of words.
ChatGPT stores all data and uses it to train the AI, unless you turn off chat history & training in the settings. However, in this case you should note that you will no longer be able to access your previous chats.
Gemini is Google's conversational AI tool, which takes advantage of large language models. It can be found at https://gemini.google.com/
