Remote access to Finnish standards and standards used in Finland. Remote access permitted by Haka login (=SeAMK username and password).
NB! Students must install FileOpen Plugin to their home computers to read standards through remote access. Plugin is available on the internet https://plugin.fileopen.com/all.aspx
Hakuohjeita:
- haku pelkällä standardin numerolla on usein tehokkain
- jos et saa hakutuloksia, kokeile lisätä hakuun valinta ”hae myös kumotuista”
- standardeja voi myös selailla aihealueen mukaan valikosta. Huomaa, että sähköala on omana valikkonaan SFS:n alla.

Ongelmatilanteissa:
- avaa standardi Adobe Readeriin – ei selaimeen
- jos avaaminen epäonnistuu, kokeile avata tiedosto uudestaan selaimen tai oman tietokoneesi ladatut tiedostot -kansiosta (downloads)
- jos et saa hakutuloksia, kokeile valita hakuun mukaan ”hae myös kumotuista”
- ota yhteyttä SeAMK Kirjastoon kirjasto@seamk.fi

Using and citing SFS-standards in student projects

Use the standard as a source, draw your own diagrams or tables and cite the standard instead of copying content from the standard.
A citation or a reference must be marked with the complete designation, title and year of publication of the standard.

APA referencing style:

Finnish Standard Association. (2015). Sterilization: Steam sterilizers: Large sterilizers (SFS-EN 285).

If the thesis or final project is commissioned by a business organisation, the student is not permitted to give the commissioner any standards copied or downloaded using the SFS Online license of the educational institution in question.
Standards may not be included in a thesis or final project as an appendix.
