Keenious plus is an AI-based information seeking tool that allows users to search for article recommendations in natural language by asking questions or giving instructions. You can also search for similar articles based on a PDF file, input text, or keywords.
The AI analyses the input and responds with a list of relevant articles, key topics, and suggestions for further research.
Keenious' data comes from OpenAlex. However, Keenious does not use all OpenAlex datasets, but deletes those missing the author's name, DOI or publication date. If the article is not available open access, Keenious will search for it in the SEAMK Library's e-resources.
Keenious finds articles from many different disciplines, especially in English. Since Keenious' data sources affect search results, we recommend that you continue to use other search services, in particular conventional databases within your area of expertise.
Keenious runs in either a web browser or both in Word and Google Docs applications.
Access to the Keenious plus is activated with a Microsoft login. Use your SEAMK email address and password to create an account. Once logged in, you can use all the features of Keenious plus. After creating an account, the tool is available at https://keenious.com/sign-in.
Other than students and staff of SEAMK can create a free account at https://keenious.com. The free version has more limited features.
The instructions on the following pages apply to using the Keenious plus tool.
Keenious is a Norwegian company and its servers are located in the EU. Your chats, uploaded files, and searches are stored temporarily for up to 1 day. This helps ensure that your session works smoothly and that you can access recent activity during that time. After 1 day, this data is automatically deleted from our system. No information entered by the user into Keenious is used to train the tool. However, please do not enter any sensitive, confidential, or personal information into the service.
