A guide for using LibKey and BrowZine web services at Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences. LibKey and BrowZine make it easier to search and find international articles and e-journals.

Search articles with their DOI or PMID identifiers

If you know the DOI or PMID identifier of the article, you can search the article with the help of LibKey.io.

How to use LibKey.io search?

Use LibKey.io to search for articles by DOI or PMID.

  • DOI (digital object identifer) is a unique string assigned to scholarly articles. Example of DOI: 10.1016/j.hpe.2017.03.002
  • PMID (PubMed unigue identifier) is a unique value assigned to each PubMed record. Example of PMID: 25435309

The first time you use LibKey.io or after you clear your browser's cache you may need to select Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences as your organization.

If the full text of the article can be accessed via the SeAMK Library's e-journal collection or it is published as open access, LibKey will display

  • article's download link (Download PDF) and/or
  • link to the article (Article link)
  • and in some cases also a link to the e-journal and article in library's BrowZine collection (View article in context). There you can browse also other articles in the same issue.

If you want the browser to remember the format for 24 hours, choose "Automatically remember format choice for 24 hours".

If you cannot find the article, you can still check if the article is available for example via Google Scholar by choosing "See all content access options for this article".
