How to use e-resources

Information about library's electronic resources and instructions how to use them.

User rights and login

The degree students and the staff of Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences are allowed to use electronic resources acquired by the You'll have access to top resources anywhere & anytime.library even outside the university network, for instance at home or on mobile devices. Remote access is permitted according to licensing clauses for educational purposes: for the purpose of education, teaching, distance learning, private study and/or research. Any commercial use is strictly forbidden!

Links to all e-resources which the library has acquired are available via e-library and SeAMK-Finna.

If you see a phrase "Access through SeAMK computer network or SeAMK remote access" or "Borrowing by SeAMK credentials" on SeAMK-Finna, both SeAMK students and staff have access to the material.

On e-library, e-resources marked with a lock small lock. require logging in with SeAMK credentials at remote access. Always use links on e-library, do not search links with Google.

Use the HAKA login (= your SeAMK email and password) to log in to e-resources from home or on your mobile device as well as on Campus wifi network.

Logging in to e-resources via HAKA login

  1. Search the link to the e-resource on e-library. You can also stumble on a certain e-resource, e-book or e-journal when browsing SeAMK-Finna.

  2. As you click the link, the HAKA service asks for you SeAMK credentials.

  3. Login with your SeAMK email and password (= HAKA login).

  4. Choose Seinajoen ammattikorkeakoulu – Seinajoki University of Applied Sciences to your institution.

  5. Accept the information to be provided as you wish.

  6. E-resource will open to the browser and you can start using it.
